Police say they opened a homicide investigation after a vehicle was towed to a location in Stemmons Corridor and a body was discovered.Dallas police say they are investigating a homicide after a man’s body was discovered in the backseat of a towed vehicle in the Stemmons Corridor.

Detectives responded to a call Thursday in the 4000 block of Halifax Street, near Cash Road, where the body was found behind the vehicle’s driver’s seat. An investigation found the man had been shot and the car had been towed from an apartment complex in the 10000 block of Walnut Hill Lane, police said.
