Deputies from the Harris County Sheriff's Office responded to a shooting at 13290 FM 1960 Road West, near the Travelodge by Wyndham Houston Cy-Fair just before 1 p.m., officials said. There they located a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, according to Gonzalez. The man, whose name and age had not been released, was pronounced dead at the motel, authorities said.
The shooter, who had not been identified Sunday, fled the area after the shooting and remained at large, Gonzalez said. The shooting remained under investigation, officials said.
