Diakos entered his guilty plea on Monday during a court appearance in which he was accompanied by his attorney, Kathleen Theurer. The Paterson resident admitted that on March 26, 2022, he stabbed Arnone, a 35-year-old single mother described by authorities at his girlfriend, at the woman’s apartment on Grand Avenue.
and charged him with the killing, based on a statement the victim’s 13-year-old daughter gave to police.
