BREAKING: Manitoba introduces new public health restrictions to reduce COVID-19 case numbers

Dr. Brent Roussin and Health Minister Audrey Gordon made the announcement at a news conference on Friday.

Roussin noted the restrictions involve restricting religious gatherings in the Southern Health Region and proof of vaccination or a negative test for recreational sports for 12 to 17-year-olds province-wide. He added a grace period for the recreational sports proof of vaccination will be in effect. He explained that without new restrictions, modelling data shows that numbers will continue to climb into December, which would cause increases in hospital and ICU admissions.
