Thomas Boykin, 52, was arrested after police say he shot his son and stepdaughter and assaulted his wife in their Mansfield home.
A Mansfield man is accused of shooting his teenage son and stepdaughter Tuesday after an argument with his wife.
Officers responded about 10:40 p.m. to a home on Arabian Court, near Oliver Nature Park, and found the 13-year-old son and 21-year-old stepdaughter with gunshot wounds. They were taken to Medical City Arlington Hospital, where they underwent surgery and were in serious condition, according to police.
Thomas Boykin, 52, was taken into custody at the home. Police said they believe Boykin had an argument with his wife, assaulted her and then retrieved a handgun before going into his children’s rooms and shooting them.
