Mansfield's Shops at Broad retail center has wound up in lenders hands following a forced sale.
One of Tarrant County’s newest major shopping destinations has changed hands.But the more than 400,000 square-foot retail center has wound up in the development lender’s hands after an Atlanta-based property partnership that built the project defaulted on mortgages.
The big retail center at the northeast corner of U.S. Highway 287 and Broad Street is across the street from where grocer The Shops at Broad shopping center is anchored by a Belk department store, the Academy, TJMaxx and At Home. “The previous owners didn’t have the financial recourse to do what needs to be done,” Hutchinson said. “There’s been a cloud over it.”
