Millions of people could be owed thousands of pounds simply by checking a code printed on their payslip.
And the deadline is fast approaching or you could face missing out on thousands you're owed due to a mistake on the 5 character or 5 digit code on your payslip.Speaking on the latest March 12, 2024 episode of The Martin Lewis Money Show Live for ITV1, on which Martin focused on the Spring Budget 2024 announcements, Martin said: "Is your tax code wrong?"Now the code tells your employer or pension provider what tax to deduct. This is a typical one - there you go - 1257L.
"It is not HMRC's, it is not your employer's responsibility to make sure it's correct, it is YOUR responsibility.
