X-Force's Colossus fights his brother.
Warning: Spoilers for X-Force #43!Just as he's been exposed to the X-Force, Colossus is being forced into a fight with his often-forgotten brother, Mikhail Rasputin. Mikhail has been a prominent figure in Colossus' life as of late, manipulating him from the background dating back to X-Force #23. As of the most recent issue, X-Force #43, Piotr's lies, betrayal, and unholy alliance have been exposed.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT The complicated, strained relationship between the two brothers is finally coming to a head in X-Force #46, written by Benjamin Percy with artwork from Robert Gill. Cover art from Daniel Acuna can be viewed below. All signs seem to be pointing to one final, major showdown pitting brother against brother in a match-up that is 31 years in the making.
A TALE OF TWO BROTHERS! MIKHAIL RASPUTIN has been secretly controlling his brother, PIOTR RASPUTIN, A.K.A. COLOSSUS. Plans change. The control ebbs. Revenge is to be had. But at what cost? At last, the brotherly battle brewing the past four years in X-FORCE boils over – Mikhail vs. Colossus! Colossus and Mikhail Must Answer for Everything In relatively recent times, Colossus' long-lost brother has returned to his life as someone with a vested interest in Krakoa during the nation's conflict with the Rasputin's native Russia. With the help of Chronicler, a Russian mutant capable of influencing the actions of others, Mikhail has been able to coerce his brother into serving him blindly as his mole.
That's all changed now as Mikhail has spent years warping Colossus' brain, even forcing him to snap his lover's neck. When he finally comes to, he's obviously not going to be a happy camper. And with his plan discovered by the larger X-Force now, Mikhail may be compelled to force his brother Colossus into a final showdown before the latter's mind control wears off.
