Marvel Revamps What If…? with Dark Spin on Classic Spider-Man Story

One of Spider-Man’s most haunting stories is being revisited in a new spin on a classic Marvel series with What If…? Dark: Spider-Gwen 1. Coming July, the issue will see the iconic 'The Night Gwen Stacy Died' end a different way.

An iconic Spider-Man story is about to be revisited with an even more tragic twist in a grim revamping of Marvel's What If...? series. A new series of one-shots known as What If...? Dark will examine iconic Marvel storylines and the unfortunate ways they could have panned out.

Dark: Spider-Gwen #1 will come from writers Jody Houser and Gerry Conway, who originally penned the seminal story "The Night Gwen Stacy Died".
