Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan has taken extraordinary steps to keep the feds from confiscating COVID-19 tests
on Thursday, Hogan said that he was concerned by reports that the federal government had confiscated crucial medical supplies from other states like Massachusetts.
The process of bringing in the tests took 22 days, and Hogan’s administration made the decision to fly the tests into Baltimore–Washington International Airport rather than the larger Dulles International Airport in Virginia. It was the first Korean Air flight to ever land at BWI. The tests were so important, Hogan said, “that we guarded that cargo from whoever might interfere with us getting that to our folks that needed it.”
