The Florida congressman is reported to have sought clemency from the former president as far back as December 2020, according to White House officials.

The Florida congressman is alleged to have asked Donald Trump for a pardon as far back as December 2020.In her recorded testimony which was played on Thursday, Hutchinson also described how Gaetz had been asking for a presidential pardon before the other GOP lawmakers accused of being involved in attempts to overturn the 2020 Election.
Eric Herschmann, a Trump White House lawyer, also said in testimony played on Thursday that Gaetz had sought a wide reaching pardon from the president.
