On Wednesday night, McKeon went even faster, breaking the Olympic record with a time of 52.13 - which she remarkably set while slowing down at the end because she was so far ahead.SevenIn the ensuing heat, Campbell comfortably claimed victory with a 52.80, just behind McKeon and the two podium finishers from McKeon’s heat.McKeon is aiming at a record-tying seven medals in Tokyo, having already won two and being well-positioned to win two more in the 50 and 100m freestyle.
However Titmus, McKeon, Leah Neale and Madison Wilson will replace them for the final with the world record - set by Australia in 2019 - in their sights.
