Donegal, Mayo and Galway better watch out
Met Éireann issued a status yellow wind warning for three counties on Friday evening: Donegal, Galway and Mayo. The warning was issued at 7pm.
The rough winds will hit the west and northwest for almost all of Saturday, and the warning will be in effect from 8am on Saturday morning until 3am on Sunday morning, at least. According to Met Éireann, residents in these areas can expect"South to southwest winds to reach mean speeds between 50 and 65 km/h at times, with gusts between 90 and 100km/h. Winds will be strongest along coasts."
A gale warning was also issued for small crafts off the coast of Ireland:"Southerly gales will develop by early morning on Irish coastal waters from Mizen Head to Slyne Head to Malin Head, extending to all sea areas by afternoon."You can keep up to date with Met Éireann's weather warnings
