MFA issues travel advisory: Avoid 2 upcoming protest locations in Hong Kong.

SINGAPORE — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a travel advisory on its Facebook page early on Friday morning , urging Singaporeans to avoid two locations in Hong Kong where protests are planned.

“In recent weeks, several large-scale protests have taken place at multiple venues in Hong Kong. Although mostly peaceful and orderly, cases of localised clashes following these protests were reported,” MFA said in its Facebook post. The ministry advised Singaporeans who are already in Hong Kong to take all necessary precautions to ensure personal safety, such as staying vigilant, monitoring developments through local news, and heeding the local authorities’ instructions.
