A micropub which was already under investigation for licensing complaints has been seized by the building’s owner – but the business hopes to reopen next week.
Publicly, no reason has been given for the action. The notice states: “As a consequence of re-entry, the Lease is determined and the Property has been secured.“Any attempt to enter the Property without the Landlord’s authority may be a criminal offence and result in prosecution.” When contacted about the latest development, Mr Woods declined to comment in detail but said he expects to be back open next week.The move by the landlords of the building also appears to have affected neighbouring Clockwork Bistro.
It said: “It is with upset that we have to let you all know that due to an issue with our lease we can not open for a couple of weeks until this has been sorted.
