JOHOR BAHRU: Malaysia police have arrested three people to assist with investigations of a six-year-old girl who has been missing since Saturday , and has reclassified the case to kidnapping.
In a statement released on Monday night, Johor police chief M Kumar said that the three who were arrested were two men and one woman, aged between 28 and 55, and they were apprehended at the Iskandar Puteri and Gelang Patah areas around 1.30pm that afternoon. The police chief did not confirm whether the girl had been found or give any other details of the girl’s family background and if those arrested were related to her.
According to The Star, claims that Albertine had been seen at the Johor Bahru Customs, Immigration, and Quarantine Complex had also been circulating online, sparking concerns that she might have been taken out of Malaysia.
