Two days after New Orleans Police Department alerted the public about a missing family of four, KPRC 2 has learned they could be in Mexico.

New Orleans Police said Steys Yanira David-Funez, 27, her husband Ramon Ruiz Crisanto, 31, and their two daughters Jazzlyn Esther Ruiz David, 4, and Dara Ismeray Ruiz David, 1, have not been seen since Nov. 30, 2023.

“We think about it every day, every night we can’t sleep thinking about her. It’s so sad,” said Farid Miranda. Roberto David shared the text messages his daughter sent him once the family arrived at the bus stop off Harrisburg Boulevard. She told him they had a delay, but they were getting food.Roberto David said he has not heard from his daughter since. He said he usually talks to his daughter three times a day.
