Rev. Franklin Graham, head of Samaritan's Purse and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, visited tornado-stricken Mississippi on Wednesday, March 29, to thank volunteers helping those in need.
Rolling Fork, Mississippi residents Casey and Shay Perry describe their experience surviving a tornado that destroyed their home and trying to find one another through the wreckage.
"This is what it’s all about — being the hands and feet of Jesus Christ," Rev. Graham said to those helping out, Fox News Digital was told. did not have insurance — and the amount of cleanup and rebuilding that's now required is"massive," said the organization.Rev. Graham said,"We’re going to be here for quite some time helping people."
In addition, 16 crisis-trained chaplains with the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team have also deployed alongside Samaritan’s Purse.The chaplains are providing spiritual and emotional care to those who are suffering, said the group.
