From health care to immigration, it was moderates vs. progressives in tonight's debate
Tuesday night quickly turned into Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren versus the field as desperate, low-polling candidates sought to break out of the pack by targeting the top candidates on stage.
“Folks, we have a choice,” Delaney said. “We can go down the road that Sen. Sanders and Sen. Warren wanna take us with bad policies like Medicare for All, free everything and impossible promises that’ll turn off independent voters and get Trump reelected." He went on: "Or we can nominate someone with new ideas to create universal health care for every American, with choice.”true
Warren added that Democrats aren’t trying to take away health care from Americans. “That’s what the Republicans are trying to do,” she said. “And we should stop using Republican talking points in order to talk with each other about how to best provide that health care.”poster="https://static.politico.com/bf/b5/01f7e92c44d9b84229e891afbf32/warren-immigration.png"
He added that as president he would convene the entire hemisphere to discuss why people are willing to walk thousands of miles into the U.S. to flee their home countries.poster="https://static.politico.com/24/3b/c8923e61486882cd3ed50ecb2b8b/warren-delaney.png"
