Phoenix-based Modus Cos. — known for building communities that focus on saving energy to curb greenhouse gas emissions — just closed on 39 acres in Casa Grande, with plans to build 470 build-to-rent homes.
The project will be built in two phases, featuring resort-iike amenities in the community, including clubhouse, fitness center, pool, hot tub, pickleball courts, and a dog park. While build-to-rent communities are known for detached single-family homes with their own backyards, these backyards will be even bigger than the typical BTR backyard, Gorman said.
