Prosecutors in Michigan are furious after Brian Kozlowski received a sentence of 60 weekend days for putting sleeping pills in his wife's coffee.
, the ex-wife stated during Kozlowski's sentencing hearing on Thursday that she first started to notice something was wrong after she nearly crashed her car on the freeway while driving to work. Once she arrived at her job, the mother described experiencing blurry vision, nauseousness, and even vomiting.
According to prosecutors Thursday, the last cup of coffee Kozlowski made was later analyzed and found to contain 127 milliliters of diphenhydramine -- an antihistamine used to treat allergy, hay fever, and the common cold. It also has another side effect, though:"Diphenhydramine can also be used toAt his sentencing hearing, Kozlowski's ex asked the judge to sentence him to the fullest extent of the law, as he saw fit.reported, she also shared her thoughts on his possible motives.
The mom also accused her ex of placing laxatives in her protein shakes in the past and Adderall in her vodka drinks while the two of them were on vacation. Visiting Judge Anthony Viviano told the court that he was moved by the ex-wife's statements, saying,"She did suffer. She suffered because of the actions of this man.
