A man had an unexpected encounter with a monitor lizard at a multi-storey carpark in Choa Chu Kang on Aug 28.shared with Stomp a video of the reptile that was under a car at Block 708A Choa Chu Kang Street 53. "I spotted it under a car on Monday and it was still there when I went to work on Tuesday ," he said.
"I called the Animal Concerns Research and Education Society and was told to check again later in the evening."If you are not alert, you will be shocked to see it by your side.", monitor lizards are naturally shy and would rather stay away from humans and will not attack unless provoked or cornered.In the rare event of being bitten, one should seek medical attention immediately. Although monitor lizards do secrete venom, it is not fatal to humans.
