City Drug's files and employees have been moved to Adams Drugs on Adams Avenue, which is about a five-minute drive away.
MONTGOMERY, Ala. - One of Montgomery’s oldest pharmacies has closed its doors after nearly a century of business.
“To be here for 96 years, that tells you something about how special they are and how they really concentrated on customer care,” said Jim Smith, director of marketing for Adams Drugs. “We hate to see it go, but hopefully it will be revitalized to something different,” said pharmacist Fran Gillespie.“Our last day, I think they had paper up on the windows and it was sad,” she said.
Three employees made the move to Adams Drugs and are eager to help customers make a smooth transition.
