Singapore must renew its commitment to support workers through collective action in the AI era early. It must understand how jobs are changing and give workers and businesses better foresight, as well as support enterprise transformation while uplifting workers for win-win outcomes.

Secretary-General of the National Trades Union Congress Ng Chee Meng made this call in a parliamentary motion on Tuesday . He stressed the need for this new compact as the foundation of Singapore’s unique tripartism in the AI era to keep enterprises competitive and workers firmly at the heart of the country’s progress.
