MP Carrie Tan inquired about the Singapore Food Agency's (SFA) stance on small-scale community-based farming for local sharing and requested information about any planned guidelines or regulations for community-grown and shared food.

Community gardens and localized food production initiatives not only supplement fresh produce supply, but also foster a sense of community ownership and responsibility over food sources, said MP Carrie Tan in Parliament on Wednesday (Jan 8).

She wanted to know the position that the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) takes on community-based local farming on a small scale for local sharing, and also asked SFA to elaborate on what are some of the guidelines or regulations it plans to implement, if any, for community-grown and shared food
