SINGAPORE — Technology firm and ride-hailing giant Grab Singapore has appointed Member of Parliament (MP) Tin Pei Ling as its director of public affairs and policy.

In response to queries, Grab confirmed her employment and said:"Pei Ling has deep on-ground understanding of digital economy and smart nation policy, and close ties with the local community.

In attendance was Grab Singapore's managing director Yee Wee Tang and Senior Minister of State for Transport Amy Khor. Before joining the ride-hailing company, whose parent is listed on the technology-heavy Nasdaq stock exchange in New York, Ms Tin was the chief executive officer at Business China from May 2018.
