The fault had occurred between the Sembawang and Admiralty MRT stations.
Trains must pass Admiralty crossover at not more than 10km/h due to a track point failure. At the affected crossover, P-way staff are using flags to control train movement.
This was the second time NSL line had been disrupted during the morning peak hour in the last three days. At 11.30am, the operator was still recommending adding up to 25 minutes to commuters' travel time and taking alternative routes, such as the Thomson-East Coast Line .Longer travelling time expected between Yishun and Woodlands
