Hundreds of subway riders were rescued Sunday after the FDNY says their train ran over debris, stranding them for hours. The incident happened at around 5:30 p.m. on Sunday as a 7 train was in a tunnel approaching Grand Central Terminal.

"The train stopped and all of a sudden the emergency brakes ... I was in the back car of the train and then the next thing we see is another train pulling up behind us and they send us all the way back to Queens," one passenger said.
