Its GIFT Day1.0 project in India's GIFT City sets new standards in leveraging technology for enhanced financial services.
The initial phase of GIFT Day1.0 encompassed the implementation of a Core Banking System integrated with payments and loans functions, alongside the integration with standard satellite systems such as SWIFT, Reuters, and AML systems. Additional features included Data Warehousing and MIS Reporting, Nostro Reconciliation, Document Management, E-statements, and notifications. This comprehensive setup ensured a robust infrastructure capable of meeting the diverse needs of MUFG's clientele.
The GIFT Day1.0 project's successful execution on August 15, 2022, followed by the commencement of operations on August 17, set a new benchmark in banking operations. The absence of major incidents post-launch and the smooth transition to business-as-usual operations underscored the project's exemplary planning and execution.
