KUALA LUMPUR, June 29 — Perikatan Nasional chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, who claims his coalition is on the cusp of taking over in the coming six states elections, has questioned the “unity” and “stability” of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's federal government, pointing to the open disagreements displayed by its component party leaders since GE15.
“There is no unity. Anwar is very concerned about his own party and his own survival,” the Pagoh MP was quoted as saying in the interview published today. Muhyiddin criticised Anwar — who is finance minister — for not doing enough in managing the country despite his promises since being appointed prime minister last November.“Before he was the prime minister, people said give him a chance for his first 100 days. What happened within the 100 days? Nothing.
“But then, people said it’s only been 100 days, give him a little more . It’s now seven months,” he told the news portal.to be shared among its component parties as he is confident it can win Selangor, Penang, Negeri Sembilan, Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu in the coming six state elections. The Election Commission has yet to set a date for campaigning and polling as the Terengganu state legislative assembly has yet to dissolve.
