Julie Turney demanded a refund after a beautician allegedly left her with 'swollen, red eyes' following a marathon appointment to apply a set of fake eyelashes.

A mum tearfully endured a five-hour eyelash appointment only to be left with swollen 'spider leg eyes' - before the beautician allegedly scolded her for 'racking up a water bill' by using the loo. Julie Turney demanded a refund after a beautician allegedly left her with 'swollen, red eyes' following a marathon appointment to apply a set of fake eyelashes.

Julie, from Wallington, Surrey, said: "I saw a post on Facebook from a woman doing a special offer on lashes. I wasn't going to get them done but was going out. Stupidly I didn't research her. I just saw it and thought 'that sounds good. What could possibly go wrong?'. "They were only £20, I was really stupid for going to her. I wasn't aware how long I was there for, I got in my car and realised I was there for nearly five hours."

"I had 24-hour discomfort. She'd dug my natural lashes into my eye. I had problems at work seeing the computer - I had blurry vision. I sent a picture of them to the lash technician and said they need removing. She said she'd buy some remover because she doesn't stock it. She apparently also said 'you teared up throughout the process from the very beginning of putting on the eye pads and tape, making it longer and difficult to lash as I have to pause for your lashes to dry and then use the fan. That's extra fees on my electricity'. Julie said: "I was sat there for nearly five hours, you have to expect your clients to go to the toilet in your property. It's a tiny bit of water that's hardly going to cost anything.
