N.J. reports 3,129 COVID cases, 7 deaths; most of state in high-risk category, CDC says

The state’s seven-day average for confirmed positive tests is 2,755, a 19% increase from a week ago and a 15% increase from last month.

The state of 9.2 million residents has reported 34,152 COVID-19 deaths — 31,062 confirmed fatalities and 3,090 probable ones.
