The Naperville police and fire departments are holding a free Public Safety Open House from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, at Naperville’s Public Safety Campus, 1380 Aurora Ave.
Police officers will perform a mock traffic stop and drunken driving arrest and will demonstrate how they use drones and tasers. The department’s K-9 unit will be showcased. The departments’ mascots, Sparky the Fire Dog and McGruff the Crime Dog, will be in attendance and food trucks on site.EcoSure volunteers stand near one of 20 native trees planted at Pioneer Park along the DuPage River Trail in Naperville.A team of 40 volunteers from EcoSure recently planted 20 native trees at Pioneer Park, Naperville Park District officials said.
The park district applied for the grant in 2021 for Pioneer Park, which is used by thousands of pedestrians, runners and bicyclists annually.
