NASA prepares to launch alien-hunting Mars rover Perseverance and launch the first helicopter on Mars
is set to launch its Perseverance rover July 30 at 7:50am ET for a 314 million mile journey to Mars. The rover will spend over 600 days in the Jezero Crater searching for biosignatures and collecting samples. The vehicle will use advanced technology to gather samples into tubes that will be cached on the surface. A follow up mission is set for 2026 that will send at least two vehicles to collect and bring them to Earth.
