National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is Saturday

Saturday is National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.

You can drop off your prescriptions at dozens of police precincts across Puget Sound.The drug takeback will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. To find the nearest drop-off location,The initiative was started 11 years ago in an effort to reduce the number of prescription medications that could be abused.

Since its inception, collection centers in Washington state have taken in more than 9,300 pounds of prescription drugs at takeback events, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Eastern Washington.
