Naydeen Tyffane González-De Jesús will become only the second female president in SAC’s 97-year history.
Matthew Busch, Contributor / For The San Antonio Express-NewsThe Alamo Colleges District board has picked Naydeen Tyffane González-De Jesús as the new president of San Antonio College, effective Jan. 9.
“Her wealth of experience in the area of student success and equitable outcomes will serve San Antonio College and the Alamo Colleges well as she brings a unique blend of international public diplomacy, research and higher education experience to the position,” Alamo Colleges District Chancellor Mike Flores said in an announcement.
“There’s an added distinction of currently being the No. 1 community college in the U.S.,” Flores said in an interview, referring to the Aspen Prize awarded to SAC last year in recognition of the support and success of its more than 18,300 students.
