The inquiry comes amid a report that office workers with the company known as Spectrum have contracted COVID-19 after not being allowed to work from home.

In an email to HuffPost, a Charter spokesperson declined to comment on the inquiry but said that “the significant majority” of its office workers are working remotely.The New York Attorney General has opened an inquiry into Charter Communications’ labor and management practices following reports that workers have been forced to report to corporate offices and call centers, leading to COVID-19 illnesses.
Charter, which provides phone, internet and TV plans, employs more than 95,000 people in 41 states, according to its website.
