NFL commissioner, Commanders owner asked to testify at House hearing on hostile workplace culture

The House Oversight Committee on Wednesday invited NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and Washington Commanders owner Daniel Snyder to testify at a hearing as part of the committee’s ongoing investigation into allegations that the team has fostered a hostile workplace culture.

NFL spokesperson Brian McCarthy said in an email Thursday that the organization received the Oversight Committee’s request and “and will respond directly in a timely manner.” The leaders of the Oversight Committee on Thursday signaled frustration with the Commanders and the NFL for their reluctance in providing the findings from Wilkinson’s investigation.tension between the two entities over the release of the documents — with the NFL claiming the Commanders blocked access to more than 100,000 documents.
