El gobierno de Nicaragua ordenó el miércoles el cierre y la expropiación de los bienes de la Asociación Compañía de Jesús una semana después de haber clausurado y confiscado la Universidad Centroamericana, de la misma congregación católica.
La disposición, publicada en el diario oficial La Gaceta, fue ordenada por el Ministerio de Gobernación bajo el argumento de un supuesto incumplimiento de la asociación religiosa en sus reportes fiscales de los últimos tres años.
La UCA fue cerrada el jueves por el gobierno de Daniel Ortega, quien la acusó de ser un “centro de terrorismo”, y en su lugar creó la universidad estatal Casimiro Sotelo.
