The 29-year-old was hit Monday near the Summit station.

Evan Krupp, of Scotch Plains, was hit by a Morris & Essex Line train near the Summit station at about 1:20 p.m., NJ Transit said.

The train departed Hackettstown at 11:58 a.m. and was scheduled to arrive in Hoboken at 2 p.m. There were 45 people aboard. Service was suspended for hours Monday afternoon with substitute bus service provided.
