KUALA LUMPUR: Barisan Nasional chairman Ahmad Zahid Hamidi says the coalition’s Supreme Council has not discussed whether to appoint Hishammuddin Hussein as secretary-general, although talks will be held “when the time comes”.
It was reported in August that the leaders of BN’s component parties – Zahid, Wee Ka Siong and SA Vigneswaran – had unanimously agreed to make Hishammuddin secretary-general.Zahid also said BN had set a date to announce its candidate for the Tanjung Piai by-election on Nov 16.
