One non-profit says they’ve been loading up to 5 buses a day, each with 50 migrants. Along with transportation, they’re also preparing for the cold weather ahead. The Val Verde Border Humanitarian Coalition is a short-term respite center that says they’ve been trying to winterize their building, but how cold it will get is still a big concern.“There is no overnight shelter option in Del Rio or Val Verde County. So, we focus on the transportation side of things,” said Burrow.
“Del Rio and Eagle Pass do not have the infrastructure and the personnel and the contractors,” said Henry Cuellar, Congressman, Texas 28th District.
