SEOUL - North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has called for the strengthening of the country’s naval forces, accusing the United States of turning waters near the Korean peninsula into “the most unstable waters with the danger of a nuclear war,” state media KCNA reported on Tuesday.

“Owing to the reckless confrontational moves of the US and other hostile forces, the waters off the Korean Peninsula have been reduced into the world’s biggest war hardware concentration spot, the most unstable waters with the danger of a nuclear war,” Mr Kim was quoted as saying.
