North Shore AFL-CIO leader Dan O’Malley being investigated by board, put on leave

The leader of Greater Cleveland’s largest labor organization has been put on administrative leave after a complaint from a local union.

CLEVELAND, Ohio --

According to her statement, an affiliate union brought forward concerns about the organization’s expense account. O’Malley will remain on leave until the North Shore AFL-CIO’s board can conduct an investigation and hold a hearing, Obrenski said in a statement. “There’s nothing I believe to be improper,” O’Malley said. “I have been a steadfast steward of our finances my entire time here.”
