Mikal Bridges continues to play through pain as he played with a wrap on his right knee Friday against Miami.
Don’t be fooled by his pregame dancing, wide smile, or signature 3-point sign with the head nod after making one from deep.Bridges played with a wrap on his right knee in Friday’s 104-96 loss to Miami as he shot just 2-of-10 from the field in scoring 15 points.
“There’s things in sports you can’t really explain all the way, and they happen,” Suns guard Landry Shamet said. “All you can do is just control how you show up every day to work. The right energy, the right intent to want to get better and I think we have that.”“Just makes us stay together even more," Bridges said about the team's current skid."That's what we've got to do. It's easy when you win to stay together.
Even being banged up, Bridges attacked the paint Friday to establish career highs in free throw attempts and makes on a 10-of-10 effort. He wasn’t getting much lift, but Bridges kept driving to the basket despite falling the floor after making his way into the paint. “Mikal is such a huge part of our program,” Williams said. “I think some of the sentiment around him is why isn’t he scoring more, but when you look at the load he has to guard all these guys.”
