The RTX 4060 will be available for $299 and the RTX 4060 Ti will be available with 8GB or 16GB of GDDR6 memory for $399 and $499...

Update: The reference to “60 series” was changed to “40 series” to accurately reflect the GPU generation.

Today, Nvidia announced the latest in its GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs, the GeForce RTX 4060 and RTX 4060 Ti, for 1080p gaming and content creation applications. Like the GeForce RTX 4080 and 4070, the GeForce RTX 4060 cards are based on the latest Nvidia Ada Lovelace GPU architecture with AI-based DLSS 3 upscaling and frame generation technology.

The GeForce RTX 4060 also features an increase in power efficiency with a Total Graphics Power of 115W, which is lower than both the 170W of the GeForce RTX 3060 and the 160W of the GeForce RTX 2060, the two previous generations. There are similar power reductions in average power consumption for gaming.

In terms of performance, the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti consistently offers over 100 fps performance for many popular games plus Nvidia’s advanced hardware ray tracing technology. Compared to a GeForce RTX 2060, a card that is over 3 years old, the average performance is almost 2X. The reason to compare with a card that is three years old, is that is typically the time people feel the need to upgrade to play the latest titles with higher visual quality.
