“It’s an absolute privilege to be coached by her,” O’Connor senior outside hitter Kelli Fording said. “I had multiple sisters who went here, and I remember being in the stands and being like, ‘I cannot wait to go to high school to be coached by her.’ She pushes us every day, for sure.”“I don’t want to take this for granted,” Garza said. “Getting to play for her is amazing. You get the best of the best, and you have to take advantage of it.
Morris, the daughter of Garcia’s sister Denise Cardenas, played for her aunt for four years and helped notch more than 100 of her aunt’s career victories as an All-Area setter from 2006 to 2009.
