More acts of violence in the subway system come as the mayor and governor announce a new plan to combat subway crime by adding 1,200 additional cops, more cameras, and increasing access to mental health services.
Martin told Eyewitness News he did not know the attacker and says he doesn't know how he'll ever feel safe riding the subway again.
"I used to work in a shelter and mental health is really the issue," said subway rider Najee Smith. "There's a reason why they're doing the things that they're doing. Need to pay more attention to that." "We can't pinpoint that somethings going to be done in a month, something's going to be done in a week but one things for sure, I'm confident that something's going to be done," mayor Adams said.
