Despite being without numerous key starters, Ohio State did what was needed to beat Penn State, in The Shoe.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. was named the Big Ten co-offensive player of the week forHarrison caught a career-high 11 passes for 162 yards in Ohio State's 20-12 win over Penn State at Ohio Stadium. He scored an 18-yard touchdown reception in the fourth quarter that gave the Buckeyes a 20-6 lead.

Nine of Harrison’s 11 receptions resulted in first downs. He also became the first player in program history to have five games of 160 or more yards receiving, according to Ohio State Athletics. Through seven games, Harrison ranks seventh nationally in receiving yards per game with 109.4 and and seventh in receiving yards with 766. His string of three consecutive 100-yard receiving games is two shy of an Ohio State record, which was set by Cris Carter in 1986.

Harrison shared the Big Ten offensive honors this week with Michigan's J.J. McCarthy.
