One lucky Australian has woken up $40 million richer this morning after winning the Powerball jackpot prize with a bizarre pick of numbers.

The entrant, from South Australia, was the sole winning ticket holder last night to take home the Division One prize. The winning numbers were 7, 5, 13, 4, 2, 14 and 11 with a Powerball of 14 – bizarrely a winning combination consisting of numbers 14 or lower. Six other entrants were also awarded the Division Two prize of $83,887.80 while 79 people won the third prize of almost $4000.the largest individual lottery prize ever handed out in AustraliaThe Sydney mother, who won the record lottery of $107,575,649.08 in January, said at the time that she wouldn’t be quitting her job after the win.
